Meet Dr. Tarazona
Professor Henry Tarazona is an international practitioner, educator, researcher, and lecturer of Traditional Chinese Medicine specializing in orthopedic disorders, neurological conditions, classical herbal medicine, and complex internal medicine.
He is among the few Western practitioners to complete a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine in China entirely in Chinese through Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where his training was deeply rooted in classical Chinese medical theory, hospital-based education, and direct mentorship.
Professor Henry Tarazona trained under Wang Jin Gui, former Director of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, developing advanced clinical foundations in acupuncture, herbal medicine, diagnosis, and traditional therapeutic systems.
He is also a 6th-generation lineage holder of Jin Gu Zang Fu Tui Na (津沽脏腑推拿), a traditional Chinese manual therapy system emphasizing orthopedic treatment, abdominal Tui Na, and regulation of the gut-brain and nervous systems.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, he teaches internationally across Asia and the Americas through seminars, clinical trainings, and advanced educational programs designed to bridge classical Chinese medicine with modern clinical application.
Through Beyond the Needles, his mission is to preserve and share authentic Chinese medicine education directly from its original source while making high-level clinical training accessible internationally.
