Mental and emotional disorders are among the most challenging conditions encountered in clinical practice. The 13 Ghost Points represent one of the most fascinating and clinically relevant acupuncture systems within the classical Chinese medical tradition. This intensive six-hour training explores the historical origins, classical functions, and modern clinical applications of the 13 Ghost Points as described by Sun Simiao and later discussed in the Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion (Zhen Jiu Da Cheng). Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how mental and emotional disorders are approached from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including classical theories of etiology, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, and treatment planning. The course emphasizes practical clinical application and provides a framework for integrating the 13 Ghost Points into modern practice. Clinical discussions will include point selection strategies, acupuncture combinations based on syndrome differentiation, treatment planning, and real-world case analysis. The concepts discussed in this course can be applied to a variety of mental and emotional health presentations commonly encountered in practice, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, emotional disturbances, stress-related conditions, and disorders affecting the Shen.
